Exploring different avenues of human consciousness and spirituality, this non-fiction audiobook asks some tough questions without sounding skeptical. Answering long-asked questions such as the purpose of life on Earth, the afterlife, and everything in between, Jozef shares his experiences at the Monroe Institute and his knowledge and spiritual adventures with readers in the most exciting way possible.
The subject matter of this book is very interesting, especially for readers with an open and curious mind. On the surface, this book is all about self-discovery and accepting the self as an extension of the soul. However, the more I thought about it, the more I was left intrigued by the hidden meanings. Just listening to the book made me feel like I knew the author intimately. He carefully chose his words; he had a plan, and he executed it perfectly. Each chapter felt personal, and each metaphysical journey felt like my own. I loved the spirituality and the educational aspects of the book!
Narrator John Steele breathed life into the narrative and made it more entertaining. Listening to an 8-hour plus audiobook is not easy, but John Steele’s narration style and author Jozef Simkovic’s narrative made it an entertaining experience. The cadence of John’s words and the highs and lows of his voice were enough to keep me focused and attentive for as long as I listened. I would highly recommend this audiobook!

All the events portrayed in How to Kiss the Universe are well documented and explained in a beautiful, accessible and easy to understand way by Mr. Simkovic. The book is split into explanatory named chapters, each of them opening with a suitable quote from a well renowned writer, philosopher, musician or other persons that have inspired the author. I especially loved this, as it is a clear example of how involved Mr. Simkovic was in delivering his utmost best to make sure that the listener learns even more interesting things from his work.
I listened with complete fascination and was instantly immersed into this true story, written like a fiction book, so that everyone who picks it up will find it easy to be entertained by it.

How to Kiss the Universe: An Inspirational Spiritual and Metaphysical Narrative About Human Origin, Essence and Destiny is the telling of exceptional experiences by Jozef Simkovic. The author, a former journalist, says he’s communicated with spiritual beings who have given him insight into the human experience. He received five critically important messages, including one that said a God/creator does exist and another that said he was the person chosen to understand the message of the spiritual world he entered. Simkovic says everything he describes happened exactly as he relates it. He realizes that some will consider his story to be untrue, but stays firm in his statement that he experienced all he says he did. One reason Simkovic wrote this book was to help his readers overcome the natural fear of death.
How to Kiss the Universe is an interesting read. Author Jozef Simkovic is clearly passionate about what he believes and enthusiastic about sharing his message. Simkovic wisely shared his experiences by writing in creative nonfiction rather than using a strictly clinical approach. That approach adds much to the enjoyment of his book, as well as its effectiveness. Not everyone will be convinced by Simkovic’s work, but it’s well worth listening to. This book will expose readers to new ideas, challenge some current beliefs, and at other times reinforce what they already believe. I can pay this book the highest compliment any reviewer can give a book—it will make readers think. Note that there is a small amount of explicit language.
The book is narrated by John Steele, whose voice is pleasant and easy to understand. He reads at just the right speed and inflection to keep listeners interested. Steele’s voice fits in well with the overall content of the book.

The questions a person asks will tell you much about them. How to Kiss the Universe: An Inspirational Spiritual and Metaphysical Narrative About Human Origin, Essence, and Destiny by Jozef Simkovic shares the metaphysical world with the reader. Some may believe this book is fictional and describes Jozef’s flights of fancy. Jozef admits that he writes in a fictional style, but he asserts that his adventures to other realms are true. If one listens to this book and follows Jozef’s techniques, he claims you too can experience the exciting spiritual world. After listening with an open mind, you can judge for yourself whether Jozef’s writing is worth considering or is a collection of nonsense. Jozef highly recommends The Monroe Institute. Jozef says one must have a high level of discipline to leave the body and travel in the spirit world. During his metaphysical travels, he speaks of out-of-body states, spirit guides, helpers, and others.
When humans reach old age or have a traumatic event occur in their lives, they often start to ponder the reality and inevitability of death. What lies beyond the grave? Is there more to the universe than the physical? Is death the end or just the beginning? These and other questions find answers in How to Kiss the Universe by Jozef Simkovic. You may disagree with his explanations and methods, but this book is an interesting listen. Keep an open mind, and you might find that you agree with Jozef to some degree. John Steele is the narrator for How to Kiss the Universe. He does a great job in that his voice inflects appropriately, and he gives the right pauses along the way. John’s voice can be described as easy listening. He speaks clearly and is readily understandable. John makes Jozef Simkovic’s concepts easy to comprehend and he is an excellent narrator.

It explains how readers, like the author who was a former journalist, can experience this level of consciousness. The reasons for our existence and the earth’s creation are addressed and how our worldly ways challenge our expression of love for God. Relearning how to love is the starting point for further revelations of things to come. Based on the use and power of meditation, this non-fictional work covers the breakthrough made possible by temporarily leaving our physical bodies. Spirit travel and guides, representing the non-physical dimensions, are discussed. Reincarnation is explained as a natural step in the ongoing cycle of life or death and is confronted and described as an opportunity to learn from the current lifetime and its lessons from lower consciousness.
Reading or listening to How to Kiss the Universe was an enjoyable experience. I liked the way it developed from the physical to the metaphysical. Having an open mind is essential to understanding Jozef Simkovic’s work. It is a practical and comforting guide to our existence and understanding of the interconnectedness of the diverse possibilities of human expression. This will facilitate reaching a higher plane of purpose and being. I have often pondered the concept of reincarnation. This book clearly explained this and other metaphysical notions. I loved the warmth of the narration by John Steele and the audio reading of this work. Listening to it made it a more involving experience and easier to understand the complex concepts and progression.

In Toward the Ultimate Source: Planning for the Afterlife by Jozef Simkovic, the reader finds the thrilling sequel to Jozef’s first book, How to Kiss the Universe. Jozef declares that each incident detailed is an actual event. Jozef is a futuristic thinker who sees what most of us miss. He sincerely believes in the metaphysical world. While leaving his physical body behind, he travels to other levels of existence. He introduces the reader to his spirit guides and different focus levels. Jozef shares wisdom obtained from those who had previously achieved a much higher energy level. The Monroe Institute features prominently in Jozef’s beliefs. Information given to Jozef includes that there is neither beginning nor end and that we are much more than the physical body. Jozef travels to an infinite number of universes. The reader is reminded that time and space are only local and not an issue outside the physical world.
One of Jozef Simkovic’s interesting encounters involves his introduction to Jesus Christ. In this encounter, he acknowledges who Christ is. He also says that Jesus has manifested on many planets in many different universes. Right before Jesus leaves Jozef, he reveals that he was also Buddha, Mohammad, Krishna, Zoroaster, Abraham, and others. Bible-believing Christians will struggle with this concept. However, this book provides plenty to consider and contemplate. Reincarnation occurs because we decide we haven’t learned enough lessons. Spiritual travelers must remember the law of non-intervention. In Toward the Ultimate Source, Jozef goes into more detail about his spiritual travels. This book will keep your interest.
Toward the Ultimate Source is narrated by John Steele, who does an admirable job of keeping the listener involved. His tone is clear and distinct. Proper inflection of his voice is heard throughout the book. Without actually using character voices, John makes the dialogue clear. As a result, the listener can follow the conversation. John made this book a true joy to listen to.

Toward the Ultimate Source (Planning for the Afterlife) by Jozef Simkovic is a well-written and well-narrated audiobook that focuses on several intriguing ideas and concepts. The author’s previous experience as a journalist aided him in sharing his experiences as a spiritual traveler in a way that is both interesting and understandable to everyone, regardless of whether one is new to exploring the metaphysical or not. The author avoided the use of any scientific jargon and used an almost fictional writing style that made me feel like I was going on an adventure with the author in preparation for my own metaphysical trips. I really liked how the author explained what a metaphysical point of view was and how it could lead to a deeper understanding of certain fundamental questions.
The narrator of this audiobook is John Steele. Mr. Steele is an accomplished voice actor and has numerous acting credits to his name including Natural Soap Making, Proof of Heaven, and Persuasion: Secret Techniques to Influence Human Behavior. Mr. Steele’s experience with non-fiction audiobooks is clearly evident in his delivery of the content and his ability to alter his voice tone to keep the listener interested. I loved the way Mr. Steele’s voice pulled me along on the author’s journey and allowed me to feel like I was almost a part of the audiobook.

Toward the Ultimate Source: Planning for the Afterlife is the sequel to How to Kiss the Universe: An Inspirational Spiritual and Metaphysical Narrative About Human Origin, Essence and Destiny by retired radio journalist and experienced trailblazing spiritual traveler, Jozef Simkovic.
I listened to and reviewed How to Kiss the Universe a few years ago and I am grateful to this day for the knowledge revealed to me by those writings. At the end of May, Alina and I took a short vacation and while she was resting I used the free time to listen to Toward the Ultimate Source. As with the previous book, I find the writing to be excellent, easy to follow, accessible, enjoyable, easy to understand, and also entertaining.
I think that the most important thing, though, is that after I listened to these two audiobooks, I see all regular things and understand the meaning of dreams differently than before. I am fascinated by psychology, having studied the topic in my early 20s, and I am also interested in all spiritual matters. As someone who frequently steps into lucid dreams, has premonitions, and taps into telepathy from time to time, I have always felt that there is much more to our essence than the physical realm, and I really believe that our journey is just the beginning in a trek throughout the stars or other planes of existence.
Both How to Kiss the Universe and Toward the Ultimate Source are thought-provoking informative, educational, spiritually enriching and encourage us to reach that point where we will be able to give unconditional love to everyone around us. Only by taking these extremely important steps, we will be able to reach for the Ultimate Source and also prepare for the afterlife.
I truly believe that the author didn’t write these two books for money or for fame, because he is living a comfortable, fulfilling, and happy life in the United States as a retired journalist, he wrote them because of his self declared and proclaimed mission on Earth – that to help everyone understand the inner workings of the universe and to urge us to become better human and spiritual beings!
With humanity tackling the corona pandemic for the last two years, I think that a lot of us were brutally forced to face our own mortality. If you’re looking for answers about what could be coming next in our spiritual journey in this universe and want to better prepare for the afterlife, I highly recommend that you read or listen to both How to Kiss the Universe and Toward the Ultimate Source, because Mr. Simkovic shares in them a priceless treasure trove of information that you won’t be able to find anywhere else.

The book covers Simkovic’s electrifying and enlightening metaphysical journeys. Simkovic challenges readers and listeners to tread through his narrative with an open mind and dismiss existing biases that may cloud or constrain their perception of his work. The book can be read in two ways: as a factual account or as a science fiction novel, with the latter recommended by Simkovic for those finding his work hard to digest.
As someone who grew up in an environment that believed in a mixture of spiritualism and superstition, the topics Jozef Simkovic covers greatly appeal to me. Toward the Ultimate Source was enthralling and enlightening. Despite my upbringing and familiarity with spiritualism, I remain skeptical, but a skeptic with an open mind, especially when Simkovic’s overall goal is to help others become whole as human beings. He advises us to love unconditionally, to be kinder, and more compassionate. This book made me reflect on my doubts and fears concerning human mortality and made me think of the legacy I would want to leave. I believe any piece of work that evokes something positive in us is worth a read.
John Steele, a broadcasting veteran since 1976, narrates Toward the Ultimate Source. Steele also worked on Simkovic’s previous novel, How to Kiss the Universe. Steele is articulate, engaging, and clear in his narration. He delivers an upbeat performance to a recherché piece of literature.

The book continues the spiritual and metaphysical adventures of Jozef Simkovic as he takes readers along on a journey where he questions his spirituality, modernity, and a lot more. You might imagine reading a person’s experiences with metaphysical adventures would be too fantastical to be entertaining, but you will be surprised. Jozef shares personal experiences with readers and what the afterlife will be like.
Toward the Ultimate Source describes Jozef’s journey to self-discovery as he learns what else is there to life and life after death. Instead of being religious and objective, the narrative is spiritual and thought-provoking. Jozef now educates the reader as well as keeps them entertained with his findings and adventures. This book is more about the afterlife, preparing for it, and exploring what it can mean to different people. Of course, you need to approach it with an open mind and an open heart; otherwise, it will go over your head. I love the underlying message: be kind to others!
John Steele has, once again, wowed me with his narrative style. He enlivens Jozef’s narrative and makes sure the listener will feel every adventure as if they were right beside Jozef. The excitement is still there, but this time, it is amplified and helps the listener feel the thrill of the discoveries as well. Educational and fun! Kudos to John Steele for a job well done!

Jozef explores a human’s spiritual experience and purpose by engaging in insightful conversations with angelic beings. Through this book, Jozef wishes to inspire the reader to pursue their own journey of self-discovery without the typical constraints.
Even if you do not believe in out-of-body experiences, Toward The Ultimate Source: Planning for the Afterlife is still a unique narrative on how one deals with mortality, specifically, how to prepare for the afterlife. Upon reading this book, I find it comforting and insightful as I have always dreaded death since it sounded so final. Jozef Simkovic details his experiences with attention to detail and a touch of humor, which made it easy for me to imagine what he experienced and felt at that time. I found it incredibly interesting when he described hearing a steady stream of his future chapters’ titles during his drive home. It shows that miraculous things can happen even in daily activities. I would highly recommend this book to anyone looking for comfort during this Covid-19 era.
